Fushi
Fragments of a Tree is a series of ceramic sculptures that emerged from a single form resembling a tree. Initially, the individual elements could connect with one another, forming a unified structure; later, each was separated and developed as an independent object. These fragments retain the memory of the whole: their forms are articulated through voids, and negative space becomes an active part of the structure. Sculpture Fushi (node, joint) — the form captures a moment of connection and support. Articulated by voids, it preserves the memory of the whole while simultaneously existing as an autonomous body.
